Changes Aren’t Always A Bad Thing

The Fourth Flare ๐Ÿ’›

Things changed after that. I was lucky enough not to have to repeat the third grade. In the middle of summer break, my friend Peyton came over to my house. I thought this was weird because I always went over to her house. She came over because she wanted to tell me she was moving away. I was kinda sad. ๐Ÿ˜” Then a few weeks later my parents tell me we are moving out soon. I felt sad and scared. I felt sad because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to see Davaughn again. ๐Ÿ˜ž I was scared because I didn’t know if I would make any friends.

In September we finally moved into the new house. I was happy because I got to have my room. On the first day at the new school in fourth grade, something cool happened. ๐Ÿ˜Ž I made my first friend. Her name is Kaitlyn. We became friends because the teacher put me at the table she was sitting at. She started the conversation by asking me who I was then her telling me who she was. Then a few day’s later something that I thought would never happen. ๐Ÿ™‚ Kaitlyn and I were in the hallway with everyone else, and these two girls come up to me and start to make fun of me for no reason. I didn’t understand what was happening and why. I never spoke to them or talked about them. ๐Ÿ™ Then out of nowhere Kaitlyn hears this and starts telling them to leave me alone. I couldn’t believe she did that and I didn’t get why at the time. I didn’t say anything when this was going on. Afterward, I felt a little better about what happened.

We’ve been friends since then. But when Fifth grade started I got to school I thought Kaitlyn was going to be there. She wasn’t and I didn’t know why. I found out later why. I felt alone again. ๐Ÿ˜” I didn’t have anyone to talk to because no one wanted to be around me. ๐Ÿ˜• Then one day in fifth grade everyone in our class was at lunch and I was trying to sit with these girls but they kept telling me to leave and saying they didn’t want me sitting with them. I felt like I wasn’t wanted.๐Ÿ˜• I left and sat down at a different part of the table. I sat down in front of this girl named Sky. She introduced herself and asked me who I was. I told her my name was Gabby. Then we became friends.

While in fifth grade there was this girl in my class. She would come up to me and say mean things to me all the time for no reason. I didn’t understand why. I never said anything back to her. It all got too much one day, I was in class with everyone and we got to pick where we wanted to sit and no one once again wanted to sit with me. I said out loud “Why doesn’t anyone like me!” โ˜น๏ธ It was a sad year but the next one gets even more unfortunate. ๐Ÿ˜”
